(1)

The first two tapes are some quite inspired collages using sounds and sources from Agog [ca], John Wiggins [ny], Mike Jackson [tn], 1348 [dc], Minóy [ca] and a few others. (1) is one of Agog's all-time favorite releases of mine. It is a delightful journey through spaces full of sounds and voices. Occasionally a wonderful munchkin voice emerges to announce "I'm going to sing a little song for you." This is funny and it makes me smile every time I hear it, especially the part where he sings "if I only had a brain." I know how that feels!

(2)

An all-star cast featuring John Wiggins [ny], Damon [de], Agog [ca], Everything But Sink [ia], Mike Jackson [tn], 1348 [dc], De Fabriek [nl] and Minóy [ca].

(3)

The last three Please Get Up On releases from 1988 were more haphazardly combined and use less sound sources and a variety of contributors. John Wiggins called to tell me that (3) sounded like if you took contact microphones and placed one over every square mile of the earth, with me mixing you would end up with a recording like this one. #'s 4 and 5 are more disembodied than the other 3 tapes. I get a stranger more removed feeling when I listen to these works.

Featurig Het Zweet (nl), Dave Prescott (ma) and Cool & The Clones (ny).

(5)

With John Wiggins (ny), Der Akteur (de) and Cool & The Clones (ny).

(1-4)

Remixed in February '93, (1-4) is an amalgamation, subtly constructed, of the first four releases. This was prepared for release on Tonspur tapes in Germany.
